Policy Server

The Seclore Policy Server is the central control and orchestration component within the Seclore architecture. It is responsible for managing encryption keys, enforcing protection policies, and maintaining comprehensive audit logs for all protected content.

The Policy Server authenticates users - either directly or through integration with the organization’s Identity Provider.

It computes effective access permissions at runtime. Where Policy Federation is implemented, the Policy Server dynamically queries the integrating enterprise application to determine user-specific access rights before granting access to a protected file.

By centralizing authentication, authorization, key management, and activity logging, the Policy Server ensures consistent policy enforcement and persistent control over protected data, regardless of where the file is accessed or shared.
