Do users need to install the Seclore agent to use Seclore Online?
No. Seclore Online lets users open protected files in the browser. No desktop agent is required for view, edit, or print when using the online experience.
How does Seclore Online work with our DMS or EFSS?
Your application redirects users to Seclore Online to open the file. Seclore Online fetches the file from your system (via your integration), applies policy, and streams the experience in the browser. Permissions can be federated from your DMS (Policy Federation) so protection stays consistent.
Is usage audited when files are opened in Seclore Online?
Yes. Access and actions (view, edit, print, etc.) are enforced and audited so you maintain compliance and visibility into how protected content is used.
Can users download the file after editing in Seclore Online?
Yes. Depending on the rights you grant, users can download an edited copy, receive it by email, or save it back into your enterprise application—all while keeping the file protected.
How to open Seclore Online inside an Iframe?
Seclore Online does not open documents inside an iframe, either in view mode or edit mode. This limitation is due to security reasons. You can open the document in a new tab in the same browser instance.
How do I configure a new Policy Server URL?
One Seclore Online instance can support multiple Policy Servers — meaning it can open files protected by different Policy Servers. To add one:
Configure the PS URL in your enterprise application to send it in requests as a header and parameter wherever expected.
Whitelist the PS URL in Seclore Online by following the Seclore Online Installation Manual (FAQs section).
Restart Seclore Online for the changes to take effect immediately.
